Posted on Monday 22 June 2009

On December 4, 2006, Intelius Inc, a leading information commerce company, broadened the size and scope of its present employment screening services and products through its acquisition of IntelliSense Corporation, an employment screening firm headquartered in Bothell, Washington.

IntelliSense Corporation is a tenant and employment screening company that represents national real estate firms in addition to several Fortune 500 companies. Among the services it offers are tenant screenings, fingerprinting, drug testing, as well as employment screening services.

Intelius’ acquisition of the IntelliSense Corporation will increase its market share as well as it will further supplement the company’s effort to consolidate the employment screening industry. The move empowers Intelius to develop its suite of employment screening services in order to meet the demands of its increasing customers.

The outcome of integrating IntelliSense’s infrastructure will be a wider enterprise-class facility for Intellius. In addition to its offerings will be services such as international background checks, drug screenings, and fingerprinting. These add-ons will supplement the instant online and on-premise screening services that Intellius customers usually use.

Intelius CEO and co-founder Naveen Jain believes in the extensive experience that IntelliSense brings into the company, especially since IntelliSense has served a number of Fortune 500 companies. He has faith that acquiring IntelliSense will add more significant capabilities to Intellius by totally expanding and enhancing the line up of services offered by the company. Additional services, especially those that customers have been asking for, will continue to make Intelius a leader in the online information industry.

Intelius has earned more than three million customers using the information that the company has gathered to protect their loved ones, their assets and businesses and assets. The company is also among the top 100 commerce sites on the Internet. In 2005, Intelius’ identity theft prevention product, IDWatch, was named as WSA’s Consumer Product of the Year. The following year, 2006, Washington CEO Magazine included Intelius among its Top Private Companies list.
